Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ)
As you may be aware the City Council is planning to extend the CPZ (S1) to the south (up to the railway line and Dalkeith Road).
They are now at the stage where they have detailed plans to comment on. The community council is holding two public meetings to discuss any issues with Councilors and residents. Everyone from the Community Council area is invited, especially people outside the new zone (that is Prestonfield and the area south of the Railway line).
Wednesday 22 October, 7pm: Reid Memorial Church Hall (doors open 6.30pm)
Thursday 30 October, 7pm: Mayfield Salisbury Church Hall (doors open 6.30pm)

Response From Scottish Ambulance Service
The Community Council wrote to the Scottish Ambulance Service following complaints from residents about unnecessary use of sirens at night and the use of the bus gate at Prestonfield Avenue when not on emergency calls. The response from the SAS is below.
