Residents Priority Parking

Proposals for Residents Priority Parking in Priestfield

The proposals for a Residents Priority Parking zone in Priestfield are similar to those already introduced in the south part of the Grange. Residents can pay about £30pa allowing them to park all day in designated spaces. Commuters are discouraged because those without permits cannot use these bays between 1000am and 1130am.

Residents in the Priestfield area are being consulted by letter during February 2013. If the results are encouraging, more detailed plans will be drawn up and the Community Council expects to have public consultation meetings.

Proposal to close Strathearn Road delivery office

From: secretary@grangeprestonfieldCC.org.uk
Following a message that the Sorting Office is being considered for closure I contacted our MP, councillors etc.  Ian Murray received the information in the attachment. This mainly affects those living in EH9 – people might wish to make a personal objection.

From: www.ianmurraymp.co.uk
I have received the attached from Royal Mail with regards to the proposed changes to the delivery operations in South Edinburgh.  I have written to the Royal Mail to express my disappointment but also to say that local people are unlikely to support such a change given the popularity of the delivery office and the demographics of the local population.
