Planning help needed!

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Community Council as our new Planning Lead. Ideally this would be a local resident, but that is not a pre-requisite.

The role is primarily to co-ordinate the GPCC response to new planning applications for the Grange / Prestonfield area and involves keeping an eye on the weekly planning lists and drafting brief comments. You don't need to be an expert, but an interest in local planning, heritage or property development would help.

The Edinburgh City Council plan to offer training for planning officers on community councils in due course, to help support role holders.
