The Friends of Midmar Paddock (FMP) are campaigning to ensure that Midmar Paddock remains unbuilt on publicly accessible  open green space.

Midmar Paddock is privately owned and the owners have been seeking to sell Midmar Paddock (the Strutt & Parker sale particulars for Midmar Paddock have for some time shown "sale agreed") - so Midmar Paddock is at risk of being purchased for development.

FMP is looking to submit to CEC a local place plan seeking to ensure that  Midmar Paddock does remain unbuilt on publicly accessible open green space and retains in the Edinburgh City Plan 2040 the designations which Midmar Paddock has in the Edinburgh City Plan 2030 of green belt, a local nature conservation site, a special landscape area and open space.

You can help FMP by responding to the consultation on their website: https://www.midmarpaddock.org/consultation
